To be a master of art, one must become a servant of the light.

Brian Wyers

Brian Wyers has been fascinated by the dance of inspiration created by the blending of color and the vibrancy of light.

As a child, this fascination drew Brian to his mother’s paints and brushes, filling rainy days and quiet afternoons with an exploration of light reflecting color into shape and form, creating the illusion of reality.

Brian’s early talent grew with him; expressed in his 20’s and 30’s in the field of Display producing both high fashion and trade show displays.  These exhibits gave Brian renowned fame in his profession, noticed for provocative and creative innovation.

As threads in the tapestry of life are interwoven, Brian Wyers’ display work opened naturally into the field of specialty painting, offering him the opportunity to express, once again, the synergy of color and light as Faux Painting and Mural Design.

Brian has spent the last 20 years living days with a paint brush in his hands.  “Color and light have carried me through patterns and changes without and within, and most recently to a place of stillness and healing.  The canvases that have emerged from this introspective are aptly called my works of “Powerful Serenity”, which I have achieved.”

At the Toronto Art Show, in the spring of 2005, many patrons likened Brian’s works to that of Georgia O’Keefe.

Brian tells us…” these paintings have brought a great sense of humility, a transcendence of my outer self into the universal dance of creations; the dance of color and light.”

“It has deepened my belief in the quality that emerges when one touches the true depth of their soul.  It has taught me that in blending, as one with the light of creation, with the color of life, not only are we touched by the hand of God, but we are ultimately held in it.”

Born in 1947, Brian Wyers continues to live in Toronto, Canada on the Scarborough Bluffs.

Studying Architecture in Toronto, he went on to the field of “Display" for 20 years becoming known for his provocative and innovative style working in high end shops, department stores, and trendy boutiques.

Brian’s 10 year concurrent trade show design/built interests leading him into the field of Faux Finishing where he went on to paint some of Toronto’s’ landmark buildings and for some of its most prestigious inhabitants.
